Caymans, Jamaica, Martinique, and St. Lucia narrowly dodge Hurricane Dean

Friday 12:01am update on Hurricane Dean.

Dean is going to be a monster category 4 hurricane by late Friday.

Tropical Storm Dean is now packing 60 MPH winds and heading towards St. Lucia and Martinique at 20 miles per hour.

NOAA upgraded this storm from a Tropical Depression to a Tropical Storm and we now have a name: Dean. Dean will become our first hurricane of the 2007 hurricane season and is bearing down on the eastern Caribbean.

Update: Tropical Depression "#4" has formed off of Africa and is headed towards the eastern Caribbean.

A "tropical wave" is forming off the coast of African which may form our first Hurricane of the 2007 hurricane season.
