Punta Cana Gets An Upgrade

(October 14) Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, is getting an image upgrade with new hotel and resort openings.

Cap Cana, capcana.com, is located in the Eastern region of the Dominican Republic.  The $2 billion development area includes a marina, large resorts, more than five miles of beaches and multiple properties. Cap Cana was financed with contributions from international investors, Ritz-Carlton, Sotogrande, Donald Trump and others.

The upscale Cap Cana is slated to be the biggest resort in the Caribbean.  The new development will house 10,000 holiday properties, six golf courses and five hotels.  

Cap Cana is also the site of the Punta Espada Golf Club and annual Cap Cana Championship.  This December 10th – 13th, 2009, Cap Cana will host the first annual Cap Cana Beach Polo World Cup.
