JetBlue Offering Cheap Flights to Barbados
(April 26) JetBlue plans to expand their flight service to Barbados this fall.Once they obtain approval by the U.S. Transportation Department, JetBlue will be well on its way to meeting their goal for Caribbean and Latin American expansion.
The airline hopes to have more than 20% of its capacity on Caribbean and Latin American markets by the end of the year. Of the expansion, Jet Blue CEO Dave Barger says, “We look forward to building on our success in the Caribbean. We believe we are well positioned to take advantage of other Caribbean market opportunities that may arise later this year.”
On October 1, 2009, Jet Blue plans to begin service, on its 150-seat Airbus A320, between Kennedy Airport in New York and Grantley Adams Airport in Bridgetown, Barbados.
