Choosing the Right Caribbean Cruise, Are Bigger Ships More Fun?
(May 31) Today’s cruise ships are getting bigger and bigger, but are they more fun?
New cruise ships feature endless on deck activities and entertainment, restaurants, high end shopping and more. Some are large enough to warrant their own zip codes. While these floating cities feature abundant on deck options, they also tend to feature stops at more touristy ports, a greater likelihood to “tender,” or to take a shuttle boat in from the harbor at ports because the ship is too large to dock and much longer lines.
For some, these large ships lose the charm of intimate or personal travel. Below we’ve listed ships that carry less than 350 passengers.
- American Safari Cruises
- Celebrity Xpedition
- Cruise West
- Paul Gauguin Cruises
- Seabourn Cruise Line
- SeaDream Yacht Club
- Star Clippers
- Windstar Cruises
